About Us
Eco-Travel Venezuela is a company formed by a group of young professionals with over 14 years of experience in the business of tourism and Spanish language educational programs.

During 1998 a pioneer Learning Program of Spanish was designed and developed in Venezuela through a partnership between AndígenA Foundation and the Skaelskor Folkehojskole of Denmark. This initiative allowed to young people an unique opportunity in to carry out a Spanish course for all levels (beginners, intermediate and advanced) at the same time of to participate in a series of voluntary social work projects linked to social and environmental subjects. The participants travelled around Venezuela, visiting the most beautiful places of this country.

OUR DESTINATIONS
Morrocoy National Park
This park is composed of a group of islands locally called keys, located in the Caribbean Sea... We will navigate through several of these islands, making skorkel, swimming, going through the mangroves… a wonderful experience hard to forget.Venezuelan Andes
The Andes are a mountain range, from Venezuela to Argentina, its towering mountains invite us to visit this beautiful region, the hospitality of its people is well known in and beyond the country. We will know the Andes through a series of tours and hiking, horseback riding, etc.
La Gran Sabana
Here are located the oldest mountains in the world: the Tepuis, a unique landscape in the Gran Sabana.Hollywod has taken this inspirational landscape as a reference to recreate famous movies like: Dinosaurs (Disney), Avatar and Up! (Disney-Pixar), among others.  The vast landscape has not changed here in millions of years, it is like if the time stopped here... In the Gran Sabana, we will visit the Tepius, rivers and the breathtaking waterfalls.
Mochima National Park
Mochima Bay is world famous, the village is tiny with only 2 main streets, but its beaches which can be only reached by boat, are of unsurpassed beauty. Playa blanca is named so because its sands are of a stunning white. Mochima is a paradise on earth and here we will have the opportunity to swim close to dolphins.  This place has become a sanctuary for dolphins and step by step all the people have understood that their conservation is vital and may represent income for their people who are mostly fishermen…
Margarita Island
Margarita Island is known as the “Caribbean Pearl”, this is the last stop in our itinerary, where the participants will have fun and relax in front of paradisiacal beaches. Margarita is a tax-free territory where the participants can shop for souvenirs…

Feedback...!!!

"My experience in Venezuela was one of the best in my whole life. During
the 3 months we travelled all around Venezuela and saw the nature, animals
and the daily life in Venezuela. This is what I really liked. You don’t
get to spend time with hundreds of backpackers going to the same places in
the same areas – no, you travel in a group of 10 people were you get to
see the places where there are no tourists. This is also where you can
meet the local people and learn how to communicate in Spanish. Furthermore
you actually learn Spanish during the mornings with a teacher who also
travels with you all around Venezuela. If you are considering going to
South America but don’t know who to go with or where to go, I think that
this trip is the answer and you are still able to experience what you
would like to experience. I hope that my recommendation has brought new
thoughts into your mind and a hope that you will have a great trip in
Venezuela that you will never forget" - I never will:)

"It has now been some years since I travelled in Venezuela with Eco-Travel, and I
still think about my trip almost every day. First of all Venezuela is a
beautifull country with amazing nature scenes and friendly people, and its
still not overcrowded with tourists.
The best thing about the trip is that there is something for everyone and
you get to see and experience a lot of different things. We travelled around
different nature parks seeing so many different animals, fishing for
pirate-fish, driving jeeps and talking long hiking-trips. We went out every
night in Mérida - learning salsa and drinking way to many cuba libres and
practising our spanish - spanish lessons and salsa lessons were a good
start! We relaxed in the sun on the white sand beaches with the iceblue
water and palm trees. We went paragliding. We ate lunch in Brazil. We ate
tons of icecream - there is an icebar in Mérida with thousands of different
kinds of icecream like beer-, vodka-, spaghetti-, tuna-, tomato-, and
garlic-icecream:)
This way of travelling in a safe enviroment with two local guides provides
you with a great start in South America. You learn a lot about the local
customs and way of life. We went back to Venezuela and Peru on our own the
year after, and we had a great trip again".

"Traveling around in Venezuela for two months with Omar and Louis was a
great life experience. Venezuela is magnificient and we have experienced so
many different things and learned so much about another beautiful country,
that I would newer have thought possible. The trip was well organized and it
took us around in different parts of this great country.
We have experienced the perfect beaches and colourful birdwildlife in north.
The facinating high mountains with snowtops, vigorous forests and living
towns in west. Ranches and flat countryside with lots of rivers and wildlife
further in the mittle of the country. The speciel Gran Sabana plateau with
tepui-mountains, high waterfalls and goldmines in the east and of course the
touristlife with shopping, swimmingpools and discos in Isla Margarita.
Everywhere there waited a unique experience a little closer to the
inhabitants and the animal wildlife than a normal tourist usualy experience.
In the cities we lived in lovely comfortable apartsments and in the
countryside more primitively with hammocks. The nature experiences were
everywhere intence - sailing from one beautiful palmbeach to another,
horsebackriding up the hillsides and hiking in the jungle, sailing the ocean
with dolphins around the boat and barbeque at night on the white beach
eating freshly caught fishes, horsebackriding in the countryside with apes
swinging around and thousands of cattles resting on the riverbanks and in
the fields. Sailing the rivers at night with anacondasnakes, leguanas and
caymans close by. Facinating excurtions to high waterfalls and viewingpoints
that takes your breath away.
Everyday was a speciel experience - and with enough time to realy get
Venezuela and the spanish language under your skin. It was a trip and a
country that I'll never forget! I can only highly recommend Venezuela and
with Omar as the organizer, you are sure to experience the country the right
way."
